About me

Hi! I’m James, the trainer at Peak Adventure Training.

I am first and foremost, a lover of the outdoors and all things outdoor fitness. I have a passion for passing the amazing benefits of being outside in nature to other people and especially the younger generation as life becomes more digitally obsessed.

I’m an avid trail runner and I’ve completed marathons, long distance trails and ultra marathons. I’m currently training under my own coach for my first 100 miler!

I’ve loved being outdoors from an early age. It probably started in the army Cadets with camping and then onto the British army for a short spell. Climbing came along shortly after that and I was hooked. I have always been a runner and there was something about trail running especially which I have always found more enjoyable. Hillwalking has always featured heavily in my life too and I love exploring the hills of our wonderful countryside.

I am a Certified UESCA running coach, a Certified UESCA Endurance Sports Nutrition coach, Level 3 Personal trainer, Hill and Mooorland Leader, Climbing Wall Instructor, NNAS navigation tutor and Outdoor First Aider.
